Sheree Henley

Sheree is the Founder of The Good Life Builders. Combining more than 25 years’ experience in business, governance, education, technology and disability with lived experience as the mother of an adult son with significant disability, she helps families build personalised, sustainable support arrangements that lead to a good life.

Sheree has designed and implemented her own son’s Service for One and now supports families across Australia with practical systems for recruitment, training, governance and team leadership. She is known for making complex NDIS concepts practical and achievable, equipping families with proven strategies and tools they can confidently apply in their own lives.

Michaela Kennedy

Michaela is the Founder and Managing Director of Inclusion Tree and a nationally recognised leader in person-centred practice. With more than 30 years’ experience in the disability sector, she has helped individuals, families and organisations create more inclusive, self-directed lives through practical, strengths-based approaches.

Michaela is an experienced trainer, facilitator and mentor with expertise in person-centred planning, supported decision making, self-management, team development and community inclusion. She is known for her engaging, practical style and her ability to help families and support teams turn values into meaningful action that leads to better lives.

Penny Michie

Penny Michie is the Founder and Director of Elevated Bookkeeping & BAS Services and Elevated Plan Management. Penny has  more than 20 years’ experience in bookkeeping, payroll, business administration and financial management and lived expertise with lived experience of the NDIS to help families and small businesses confidently navigate complex financial systems.

Her practical, down-to-earth approach helps families build systems that are accurate, sustainable and give them greater confidence and control.

John Leslie

John is a Principal Accountant, Authorised Tax Agent and taxation specialist with extensive experience advising individuals, businesses and not-for-profit organisations. He has a particular interest in helping people understand complex tax and financial matters, providing practical, straightforward advice that supports informed decision-making.

At the retreat, John will share practical guidance on the tax, accounting and financial considerations relevant to self-managing NDIS supports and operating a Service for One. His sessions will help families understand their obligations, avoid common pitfalls and build financially sustainable arrangements with confidence.

Melissa George-Macquire

Melissa is a HR consultant with Effective HR. 

She will facilitate discussions on key HR, IR, and employee relations risks, along with practical strategies for managing these challenges within Service for One providers.
